EATS Dinner Meeting - RECAP

On Monday, February 1, the recently-renewed Edmonton Association of Technical Societies (EATS) hosted a dinner meeting that included two technical seminars.  The event was held at the Alberta Innovates - Technology Futures Edmonton facility.  Ankit Vajpayee (Russell NDE Systems) discussed “Advancements in Remote Field Technology (RFT),” while Dr. David Topp (TSC Inspection Systems) presented “The Application of the Alternating Current Field Measurement (ACFM) Technique to Weld Inspection.  The efforts of the AWS executive were instrumental in organizing the event, which attracted over 80 attendees.  The EATS presently consists of the following technical societies:  ASM, ASME, ASQ, AWS, CSChE, CWA, NACE, SME, and STLE.
