Due to the generous support of our members and Omaha Metro Community, AWS Nebraska is again able to offer a number of scholarship opportunities.
The 2012 AWS Nebraska Secondary Welding Education Scholarship is intended to provide financial help for high school age students taking college or trade school level welding courses for which tools, books or tuition are required. There are 4 offered worth $250.00 each.
The 2012 AWS Nebraska Post-Secondary Education Scholarship is intended to provide financial help for those wanting to pursue welding education at a college or trade school. There is one available worth $1000.00.
Eagle Hills Golf Course made an error in the scheduling of our outing forcing us to move it up a week from the originally scheduled date. Scholarship winners therefore cannot be announced at the outing since selection doesn't occur until after the outing. All applicants will receive either an acceptance letter or a denial letter as stated in the applications.
