Tour - January 17th Please join us as we tour the Kawasaki Lincoln Railcar Facility. The facility opened in 2001 and manufactures passenger rail cars for use in the United States. Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp.,U.S.A. (KMM) was established in 1974, The Lincoln Consumer Product line manufactures, All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV), Personal Watercraft(Jet Ski), Utility vehicles (Mule), Recreational Utility Vehicles(RUV – Teryx) and wheel for ATVs and utility vehicles. The Railcar line produces mostly subway and commuter rail cars for customers like New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Washington, D.C. metro rail system. This past July, Kawasaki opened their new testing facility and testing track. This will allow them to build the cars from the ground up and test them on site, which makes them the only facility in North America with that ability. In the past the cars were built, then delivered to Yonkers, N.Y. for testing. This addition to their abilities will further advance Kawasaki’s reputation as a high quality and well-rounded manufacturer.
